Rainmakers
One Act at a Time
Paul Llewellyn interviews Mayra Mena in this episode.
As an immigrant herself, Mayra recognized the struggles immigrants face, particularly in the Hispanic community, with language barriers and unstable employment. Partnering with Sobey's and Manitoba Harvest, she secures surplus food to support 45 families weekly, with over 100 more on a waiting list. Her work provides essential supplies and much-needed relief to immigrants trying to establish themselves in Canada.
