Signs in the Natural/Physical World
In this episode, we will look at the signs in the natural and physical world.
All these events and developments represent creation itself crying out under the weight of humanity’s systemic rebellion against God’s loving kingdom. These are not random natural disasters. They are the birth pains of a planet groaning for the restoration of love that can only come through God’s intervention.
The apostle Paul sheds further biblical light: “We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.” (Romans 8:22, NIV). Paul uses the same birth pains language that Jesus employed in Matthew 24:8, indicating that natural disasters, cosmic disturbances, and ecological crises are labour contractions signalling that God’s new creation is about to be born.
