V-Day is Coming: The Commander in Heaven

The initial invasion, the decisive blow we talked about last week, had been struck. The seemingly unbreakable Atlantic Wall has been breached. But the cost was staggering. The sand is stained, the air thick with the smell of conflict, and the machinery of war lies broken along the shore.

For the soldier hunkered down, the victory confirmed in the distant halls of High Command feels a world away. He’s exhausted. His friends have fallen. The path ahead, into the heart of enemy territory, stretches out as a long, perilous road. He knows the beachhead is secure, but the war feels far from over.

The mission was a success, but morale is fragile. Is the victory truly secure? Can they push forward?
