Come and See

There’s more to life than skepticism—discover the truth and purpose that comes from encountering Jesus.

In this episode of More To Life, we explore the profound questions surrounding purpose and identity, as we continue our series focusing on individuals in the Bible who encountered life-changing moments with Jesus. This time, we reflect on the story of Nathanael, a man skeptical about the possibility of anything good coming from a place as obscure as Nazareth. When his friend Philip invited him to meet Jesus, Nathanael could have easily dismissed the offer, much like many of us do when faced with matters of faith. But despite his doubts, Nathanael took a crucial step: he decided to "come and see." What follows is a personal encounter with Jesus that dissolves Nathanael’s skepticism and reveals a deeper truth about his identity. Jesus acknowledged Nathanael’s integrity, affirming that his search for truth was not in vain. Just as Nathanael discovered his purpose in that encounter, we, too, are invited to seek our purpose in Jesus, who sees us even before we recognize His presence.

This episode complements Nathanael's story by presenting the modern-day struggles of a mother who grapples with her decision to leave her job and focus on raising her daughter. Like many people today, she finds herself in a conflict between societal expectations and her personal sense of purpose. Her journey mirrors Nathanael’s, as both wrestle with skepticism and doubts about their choices.
